Puppies Abandoned in the Woods
Sixteen puppies were found dumped in a tarp in the cold woods near Ozark, Alabama on December 23rd. The puppies are suffering from illnesses including mange, parasites, respiratory infections, botched "home" ear cropping and other ailments. Some are blind due to eye infections. That Animal Group (TAG) is sending a donation directly to the veterinary hospital in Ozark, Alabama to assist in their care. Please help TAG continue to help animals in Alabama by donating any amount. You can donate by going to our FB page or our web site at www.thatanimalgroup.org. We must have funds to continue to help the many cruelly and callously treated animals of Alabama. Thank you.
A donation was made to TAG in memory of Richard Dame. Thank you, and may he Rest In Peace.
Hey guys, attached are two pictures of "Wallie", a little 5 month old kitten rescued by Stacy Tranhuam from the Walmart on Ann Street just this week. I took these pictures at Golden Animal Clinic. Wallie has injuries to his eyes which are being treated as well as receiving other vetting, shots, worming, etc., all sponsored by TAG. Wallie is a sweet guy, laid back, affectionate. He would certainly have perished if Stacy had not rescued him. He could not receive the care he is getting now if not for TAG. Please post his story on FB and our Web Site. Also include that Wally will be available for adoption after his medical needs are accomplished.
Urgent Need!

Please see the story below on "Lucky Chance",who needs help. It's a little long, but worth the read.

Lucky Chance was dumped in the country. My brother and his wife visited a hayfield, and my brother spotted a stray dog in his rearview mirror. The dog was chasing them. So they rescued it. Here's an initial picture.
They took him to my dad's clinic, Lanett Animal Clinic, where I started Lucky's veterinary care last monday. He's been neutered, thoroughly dewormed, deflead with Bravecto, on various supplements, an antibiotic, receiving daily oral ivermectin doses, and vaccinated against Rabies, Kennel Cough, and Parvo (Combo Booster Shot).
He's 6 months old because I pulled his baby tooth last week when neutered.
He's starting to become more social but for first 4-5 days rested mostly because he felt so bad.
I bathed him today and got a lot more dead skin/crusties off. He looks better but obviously has a very long way to go. His skin remains red and some sores are still oozing pus.
I have an Auburn student who's willing to foster, but want to start working on finding his forever home.
I anticipate it taking him 3 months to have remarkable hair growth return. His recuperation will take awhile. Besides remaining on his meds long term he needs frequent bathing to get all dead skin off.
My hope in sharing his story is if anyone feels led to make even a small monetary donation towards vet expenses or wants to mail anything to clinic on his behalf contact info is:

Mention "Lucky Chance" if you call or mail anything in. He needs a couple more dog sweaters because he shivers a lot due to being anemic and not having hair. We have to wash them frequently since he's got so much dead skin being exfoliated off. He doesn't have any chew toys either.
Today he weighed 22 pounds. His growth is stunted due to neglect.
Emails can be sent to Dr. Meredith Thomas, [email protected]
We believe he has 2 other siblings as another dog was brought in with same symptoms and it went to a rescue. Rescue coordinator told us another puppy same m.o. was turned into shelter.
I took him outside today for sunshine exposure but he is still weak acting, scared, continues to want to rest. Foster is willing to work on socializing him more. I just think he feels so bad it will take special love and attention.
Any assistance appreciated!
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Dr. Meredith L Thomas

HAPPY NEWS!
"BAD, BAD LEROY BROWN" ADOPTED!
Yay! Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown, the Foxhound, has been adopted. Joe Whittington, Leroy's foster Dad, and I took him to his new home yesterday, August 30th. Leroy was adopted by Sandy Carmony of Wetumpka, Al. Leroy has a new brother, "Duke". Duke is 11 years old and pretty darn spry. Duke and Leroy hit it off grandly and were playing within five minutes of meeting each other. Much thanks to Joe and Linda "Cricket" Whittington for fostering Leroy and taking such good care of him. And thanks to us (TAG) for sponsoring Leroy Brown's veterinary care. Another success story! A picture of Leroy, Sandy Duke and Joe is below. 😊
